Samuel J. Black was born on August 8, 1923. He enlisted in the Army on September 15, 1943. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in Company I, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was Killed in Action on December 21, 1944 in Belgium and is now buried in Hillside Cemetery, Roslyn, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA.
