When Henry Bystrak was born on April 17, 1916, in New Jersey, his father, Julius, was 29 and his mother, Ludina, was 29. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in HQ 3 Company, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was Killed in Action on January 3, 1945 (at the age of 28) and is now buried in St. Teresa Cemetery, Summit, Union County, New Jersey, USA.
