When Enrique Jr. Dominguez was born on August 18, 1924, in Del Rio, Texas, his father, Enrique, was 43 and his mother, Maria, was 37. He had four brothers and three sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company F, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on January 5, 1945, at the age of 20 and is now buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Del Rio, Val Verde County, Texas, USA.
