Santiago H. Esparza was born on July 25, 1924. His father is Gabriel and his mother is Manuello. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in Company B, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was Killed in Action on December 24, 1944 (at the age of 20) and is now buried in Uvalde Catholic Cemetery, Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas, USA.
