When Lawrence J. Harrigan was born on September 28, 1921, his father, Cornelius, was 45 and his mother, Mary, was 23. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in Company C, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was Killed in Action on January 3, 1945 (at the age of 23) and is now buried in Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
