Carradine Beverly Braswell was born on December 6, 1898, in Morven, Brooks County, Georgia. He was the son of Charles William Braswell and Georgia King Braswell. He entered the military service in Florida. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Company C, 3rd Machine Gun Battalion, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 21, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France.
