When Raymond R. Pearson was born on March 16, 1899, his father, John, was 34 and his mother, Rozena, was 24. He had four brothers. He entered the military service in Oklahoma and served in the U.S. Army during Wolrd War I as a Private First Class in Company F, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on July 18, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France. His name is commemorated on the Buzancy monument in the MISSING IN ACTION section and ranked as a Private.
