Myer Goldberg entered the military service in Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company C, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on July 19, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France. His name is commemorated on the Buzancy monument in the MISSING IN ACTION section of the monument but surname is inscribed as Goldenberg.
