George C. Acosta, aged 22, was born on February 22, 1922 in Texas. He went into the service on November 11, 1942 and was sent overseas on April 3, 1943. he was in North Africa in two months and then was sent to Italy. George served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 18, 1944 while fighting in the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the Reedley Cemetery, Reedley, Fresno County, California, USA.
