When Albin Albert Albrecht was born on January 15, 1896, in Buffalo, New York, his father, Franciszek, was 32 and his mother, Józefa, was 35. He had four brothers and three sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Company B, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 12, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
