Telford Charles Kohler, aged 26, was born on August 15, 1918 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the class of 1936 at Allentown High School. He was also a member of Grace Reformed Church and the YMCA. Telford served in the 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Technical Sergeant during World War II. Sergeant Kohler was at his platoon command post when a mortar shell landed nearby, killing him instantly on January 15, 1945 in Italy and is now buried in the Florence American Cemetery, Impruneta, Italy.
