Son of Herman and Mary Heideman Hake; born June 9. 1887, Hanford, Ohio County, Ind. When two years old moved with parents to Dearborn County, Ind. Farmer. Entered service September 20, 1917, Lawrenceburg, Ind. Sent to Camp Taylor, Ky.; then to Camp Shelby, Miss. Overseas in May. 1918; assigned to Company C, 102nd Infantry. Killed in action July 23,1918, Chateau Thierry. Buried near Epieds. France. Survived by widow, Myrtle May Haske, and son, Charles Albert Hake, Aurora, Ind. He also has a cenotaph located in Mount Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Dearborn County, Indiana, USA.
