Irving E. Lines was born in 1898 in West Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action but declared "Missing" on April 21, 1918 and is memorialized on Tablets of the Missing, St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France.
