Son of Zedmond and Minnie Sims (both deceased); born October 30, 1900, Tell City, Perry County, Ind. Farmer. Enlisted in Company I, 2nd Infantry, Indiana National Guard (Company I, 152nd Infantry), Tell City, Ind., April 20, 1917. Sent to Camp Shelby, Miss. Embarked for overseas May 2, 1918; assigned to Company C, 102nd Infantry, 26th Division. Killed in action November 6, 1918, in the Argonne Forest Drive. (Burial place unknown.) Indiana Historical Commission., 1921
