Kenneth Iiames was born on October 3, 1907 in Lima Ohio.. He served in the 19th AA Liaison Squadron and served in the China-Burma-India Theater.

He was killed in the Battle of Tengchong in China in 1944. He is remembered with a cenotaph in Tengchong, China.

Delphos Man Loses His Life
News has been received by Mrs. Edna Iiames of Delphos that her husband, Sgt. Kenneth M. Iiames, 36, was killed while enroute thru China to another base. Sgt. Iiames entered the service in March 1943 and went overseas in May 1944. Prior to his induction he had been employed at the Lima Locomotive Works. Surviving are his widow, Edna, and four sons, Jack, Don, Frank and Terry, all at home in Delphos; his father, Frank Iiames, 340 W. O'Connor-av and an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. George Keay of New York City. (published in The Lima News, October 8, 1944, page 14)
