Arthur Wallace Fleming was born on July 4, 1897 in Massachusetts. He was a 21-year-old iron molder from Holyoke, MA when he was drafted for service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in the 104th Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1918 in France at the age of 21 and is now buried in Forestdale Cemetery, Holyoke, Hampden County, Massachusetts, USA.
