Ralph Sherman Richards was born on October 1, 1898 in Massachusetts. He was the son of Rufus William Richards and Amelia Ann Romkey Richards. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in the 102nd Field Artillery Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 18, 1918 in France at the age of 20 and is now buried in Hope Cemetery, Worcester, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA.
