Harry R. Snively was born on July 30, 1900 in St. John, Stafford County, Kansas. He was the son of Henry Harrison Snively and Ada Larue Davis Snively. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company C, 103rd Machine Gun Battalion, 26th Infantry Division. He died on November 1, 1918 at the age of 18 and is now buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Gooding, Gooding County, Idaho, USA.
