LT Lavenson jumped on Normandy, June 6th, 44. On June 12th, 44, George Lavenson was seriously wounded in Carentan. He was treated in the field hospital close to Utah Beach, then medevaced to England. On July 26th, 44, together with 21 other men, he is further evacuated to the US. The plane goes down offshore and is lost.
