William Roussin was born in 1908 in Maine. He enlisted in the Army on May 6, 1942 in Portland, Maine. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Plumber, gas fitter, and steam fitter and also as Single, without dependents. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 261st Medical Battalion. He resided in York County, Maine prior to the war. William died during the invasion on Utah Beach, France.
