Lawrence J. Anderson was the son of Mrs. Charlotte E. Anderson who resided in Chester, Pennsylvania. He entered the military service in Delaware and served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. Lawrence resided in New Castle County, Delaware prior to the war. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France and is now buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
