Thurston Dale Fogleman was born on January 2, 1914. He was the son of William Wiley Fogleman and Alice Glenn Fogleman. Thurston served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Technician Fifth Grade in the field artillery of the 1st Infantry Division. He died on June 25, 1914 at the age of 30 and is now buried in Raleigh National Cemetery, Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, USA. His name is commemorated on the First Infantry monument in Omaha Beach, France and ranked as a Corporal.
