Navigator of the B-17 “Maid to Please”. Took off from Rattlesden in the UK to bomb factories in Ludwigshafen. Shot down by German fighters over Coudray Farm (between Berville andHenonville, France) at 1309 on December 30, 1943. LT Lamansky was killed by flak as the plane was still flying. Son of Harry G. Lamansky of East Pleasant Plain, Iowa.
