Radio Operator of the B-17 “Maid to Please”. Took off from Rattlesden in the UK to bomb factories in Ludwigshafen. Shot down by German fighters over Coudray Farm (between Berville and Henonville, France) at 1309 on December 30, 1943. Son of Sallie R. Troxell of Shamrock, Texas.
