Archibald Branks "Snake Eyes" Cameron was born on September 3, 1917. He has been with the American forces in North Africa since the invasion on November 7, 1942 and was promoted from Lieutenant to Captain. He served with the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division during World War II. He was cited by his commanding officer, Maj. Gen. Allen, for gallantry in action at Medjez el Bab, Tunisia on December 24, 1942. He died on July 26, 1944 at the age of 26 and is now buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia, USA.
