Clifford Leroy Hicklen, Jr. was born on September 24, 1920. He was the son of Clifford Leroy Hicklen and Jean Lois Gordon Hicklen. He enlisted in the Army on July 9, 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 27, 1944 in France at the age of 23 and is now buried in Riverside Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, USA.
