Albert J. Bradbury was born on September 1, 1923 in Keene, Cheshire County, New Hampshire. He was the son of Henry Davis Bradbury and Laura Marie McGary Bradbury. He enlisted in the Army on July 18, 1940, prior to the war, at Fort Ethan Allen, Vermont. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents. Albert served as a Private First Class, 7th Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Cheshire County, New Hampshire prior to the war. He died from his wounds received in battle on August 1, 1944 in Franche-Comté, France at the age of 20 and is now buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Keene, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, USA.
