Joseph E. A. David was born in 1912 in New Hampshire. He enlisted in the Army on October 3, 1940, prior to the war, in Boston, Massachusetts. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents. Joseph served as a Private First Class, 7th Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire prior to the war. He was Killed in Action on August 1, 1944 and is now buried in Brittany American Cemetery, Montjoie Saint Martin, France.
