Private Brinkman was born April 30. 1925, at Olpe, and was graduated from the St. Joseph High school. He entered the service on October 6, 1943, and received his training at Camp Roberts, Calif. He arrived in England in the middle of April 1944 and served in the First Division of the First Army in England, France, Belgium and Germany. He died from his wounds received in battle on January 13, 1945 in Belgium and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
