James Charles Brubaker was born on July 9, 1922 in Huntsville, Randolph County, Missouri. He was the son of William Henry Brubaker and Lela Ella Thomas Brubaker. James served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on January 15, 1945 in Belgium at the age of 22 and is now buried in Huntsville City Cemetery, Huntsville, Randolph County, Missouri, USA.
