Edward A. Boyles was born on February 21, 1913 in Crawford County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Le Vant Boyles and Mary Eliza Houser Boyles. Edward served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on January 15, 1945 in Belgium at the age of 31 and is now buried in Blooming Valley Cemetery, Blooming Valley, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, USA.
