Glenn Garrison Rhyne was born on October 18, 1918. He entered the service at Ft. bragg, NC, on May 11, 1944. Glenn served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company K, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on January 20, 1945 in Germany at the age of 26 and is now buried in Long Creek Memorial Baptist Cemetery, Dallas, Gaston County, North Carolina, USA.
