James Franklin Wallace was born on September 9, 1912 in Culloden, Cabell County, West Virginia. He was the son of Dock Lacy Wallace and Viola P. Thomasson Wallace. James served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on January 15, 1945 at the age of 32 and is now buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia, USA.
