Robert H. Beatty was born on November 17, 1923. He was the son of Harvey Alexander Beatty and Katie Maude Head Beatty. Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on January 20, 1945 at the age of 21 and is now buried in Independence Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Huntersville, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, USA.
