Dale B. Bowers was born on February 9, 1920 in Phillipsburg, Warren County, New Jersey. He was the son of Edwin Miles Bowers and Evelyn S. Buss Bowers. Dale served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the 1st Infantry Division.
