Lloyd F. Warren was born on October 31, 1921 in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. He attended Aycock and Hall Fletcher schools. He entered the Army on May 19, 1944, and prior to going overseas in November, 1944, was stationed at Camp Croft, SC, Fort Bragg, and Fort Meade, Md. Lloyd served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on January 17, 1945 in Belgium at the age of 23 and is now buried in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina, USA.
