Alva L. Predmore was born on October 1919 in Illinois. He was the son of Alva Earl Predmore and Lena Myrtle Vanzandt Predmore. Alva entered the military service in Illinois and served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on February 2, 1945 at the age of 25 and is now buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium.
