Delmer King was born on March 4, 1923. He was the son of Robert King and Lura Hargrove King. Delmer served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on January 18, 1945 at the age of 21. He has two headstones, one in Pond Cemetery, Kingfield, Williamson County, Tennessee and the other is in Kingfield Cemetery, Williamson County, Tennessee. It is not sure where he is buried in.
