Harry W. Goad was born on April 15, 1912. He was the son of Rueben Goad and Mary Elizabeth Durnel Goad. Harry served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on January 15, 1945 at the age of 32 and is now buried in Branscome Cemetery, Dugspur, Carroll County, Virginia, USA.
