John S. Jarmusz was born in 1918 in Wisconsin. He was the son of Andrew C. Jarmusz and Anastasia Jarmusz. He entered the military service in Wisconsin and served in Company A, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division as a Technician Fifth Grade during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 19, 1944 during the battle for liberation of Agincourt, France and is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Departement de la Moselle, Lorraine, France.
