Joseph F. Joniak, aged 25, was born on August 2, 1919 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was the son of Ignac Joniak and Johanna Paniak Stasel. Joseph served in Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He died on September 20, 1944 during the battle for liberation of Agincourt, France and is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Departement de la Moselle, Lorraine, France.
