Bertic Conrad Sears, aged 28, was born on November 16, 1915 in West Virginia. He was the son of John Maston Sears and Mary Lucinda Jean Sears Sears. Bertic served in Company B, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 19, 1944 during the battle for liberation of Agincourt, France and is now buried in the Boley Cemetery, Thurmond, Fayette County, West Virginia, USA.
