Arthur Duke Dean, aged 25, was born on October 22, 1918 in Warren, Marion County, Missouri. He was the son of William John Dean and Nina Elizabeth Murray Dean. Arthur served in Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 20, 1944 during the battle for liberation of Agincourt, France and is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Departement de la Moselle, Lorraine, France.
