Louis J. Maltempo was born in 1924. He resided at 23 Herman Street, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war. He enlisted in the Army on March 26, 1943 in Rochester, New York. He was noted as being Married. Louis served as a Private in Company L, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 19, 1944 during the battle for liberation of Agincourt, France and is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Departement de la Moselle, Lorraine, France.
