Donald E. Setchell entered the military service in New York. He served in the 60th Engineer Combat Battalion, 35th Infantry Division as a Technician Fifth Grade during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 20 ,1944 during the battle for liberation of Agincourt, France and is now buried in the Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint-Avold, Departement de la Moselle, Lorraine, France.
