Richard G. Brenner was born on July 13, 1906. He was the son of George Brenner and Christina Weidner Brenner. He served in the US Air Corps as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on January 25, 1944 in India and is now buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA in a common grave with his crew. Richard was a passenger of an aircraft at the time of his death. He also has a cenotaph located in Cissna Park Cemetery, Cissna Park, Iroquois County, Illinois, USA. Richard was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
