Franklin Dick Brock, aged 23, was born on March 16, 1921. He was the son of Lawrence William Brock and Mabel Lucille Sterling Brock. He served in the American Volunteer Group as a Radio Operator during World War II. Franklin died on June 13, 1944 and is now buried in the Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, Hamilton County, Iowa, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
