Walter Junior Clemans was born on June 9, 1918. He served in the 1352nd Army Air Force Base Unit as a Captain and Pilot of an aircraft during World War II. Walter died on April 19, 1945 at the age of 26 and is now buried in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
