Ernest H. Epp was born on September 4, 1914. He served in the 10th Headquarters, US Army Air Forces as a Master Sergeant and Radio Operator of an aircraft during World War II. He was Killed in Action on November 27, 1943 and is now buried in the Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China but death date is inscribed as 1943-11-30.
