Milton Humphreys Hendrickson was born on June 1, 1918. He resided in Carroll County, Maryland prior to the war. Milton served as a Major and Co-Pilot on B-25D #41-30555, 11th Bomber Squadron, 341st Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. Milton was "Killed In Action" when his B-25 crashed in China during the war. He was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland, USA on August 23, 1949. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
